The Safe Way to Remove a Password from a Bank Statement PDF

Bank statements, Aadhaar downloads, salary slips, insurance documents — Indian PDFs love passwords, usually some combination of your PAN, name and date of birth. Typing it every single time gets old fast, and forwarding a locked file to your CA means sending the password alongside it.

You're sending a document containing your account number, balance, transactions and address to an unknown company, along with the password to open it. Even if they delete it as promised, it traveled.
